im just worried about them clashing with the stripes and such

 

I have the Astra-Hammond aluminum but it's not installed yet. I'm going to have it painted to match. If I had stripes, I think itmight look coolto make the stripe continue down the louvers.

Other than looking good (IMO), they really cut the heat load during sunny days. I had a set on a fastback years ago and the a/c would struggle before the louvers. Afterwards, I had to keep cutting back on the a/c.

I love mine. Definately go with aluminum.

I like them with and without them. I am not putting them on my car though, I love that rear window!

 

I have considered it a couple times. Just remember what a pain they were when I was a kid. Think I'll pass!

However, I do like the look.

 

since you have white stripes, i'm thinkin you might have to paint em - they'll prolly look a bit out of place otherwise. anyway, here's a rear shot for comparison (aluminum astra hammonds):
