Default scratch x

as many of you who have tried this stuff, it really works.

i was just admiring my car one day and just giving it a nice little inspection before bed (only got the car mid-december so i'm still a tad obsessed) and i noticed a scratch on the car. it was matte blackish as if a plastic bumper had struck the vehicle in a light manner while attempting to park. at the end of this scuff mark, there was a thin scratch. panicking, i looked on all the websites to see what to do. one of them said to get sandpaper and smooth out the edges and apply touch up paint. i didn't want to take this method cuz i didn't want to add any more scratches to the paint. i remember reading on the forums that scratch doctor was a waste of money, but that you should try meguiar's scratch x. i went to go pick some up today from autozone (9 bucks!) and was shocked at how low the price was.

anyway, i applied about 2 coats on and all the marks disappeared. i was going to apply a 3rd coat just to be on the safe side, but when i put the solution on the pad and went for the scratch, i lost it. to my disbelief, it was gone. so with the solution still on the pad, i just guessed and gave it a 3rd coat, didn't want to waste any of this miracle goo.

i'll have pictures of it tomorrow so you can see for yourself. though i forgot to take before pictures in my panicked state.

sorry for writing so long, but hopefully it was worth the read for a few that are dealing with minor scratches.

thanks meguiars.

Sounds like you hit primer... I recommend you get some factory touch-up paint and some Langka.

Yeah, I used that stuff on my white Van after someone scratched the front fender. You don't noticed the scratch now. Great product!
