Good deal?
SCT Xcal 2 for $160. Local pickup. He has nothing but the tuner. No cd,no box or anything. It was used on his 07 GT. I know im going to have to get an intake and a new tune. How much do intakes usually go for? thanks!

RE: Good deal?
Get it. That is a good price, and it probably won't last but a day or two at the most. Before completing the deal plug it into your car, and make sure that when you get to the Device Info menu that it has STATUS = Stock. This will allow you to know if it is properly "Unlocked" to allow you to use it on your car.
I got lucky and got mine for $155 shipped off eBay. I had to trust that the seller set it back to stock ("Unlocked") it properly. I haven't seen one that cheap since I bought mine. My car already had a JLT (just no tuner b/c the dealer lost it), but you can usually pick them a used JLT for about $100. Get a $50 tune from BamaChips, and for around $300 you have a CAI/Tuner/Email tune, and I will bet you that it will be the best non-FI/non-nitrous upgrade you do.
You can get a standard USB cable (you may already have one that will work), and all the software you can get online (www.sctflash.com). Mine came with a CD, but I have never used it. I have some PDF's and other stuff I can email if you need (if so just email me at james@fastbackmustang.com).
Good luck.

RE: Good deal?
If someone could explain to me how to properly turn the tuner back to stock, it would be much appreciated. I would just like to know, just in case when i go pick up the tuner it is not turned back to stock, and the guy doesn't know how to do it, i can do it. Thanks.

When you go check out the status on the tuner and make sure it was set back to stock and that you have changes left. If it's stuck on aftermarket, don't get it. $160s a good price if its unlocked. I don't have the cd or box for mine either. You can find all the instructions and download liveload and updateson sct's site. look around for a quality used intake, they're always floating around. Jlt, c&l, possibly a demolet;for the right price. Order a single tune file; 75 brenspeed, 50 vmp, bama and enjoy the new setup. Figure: 160+75(say you go the high route)$235 +used intake(100-150) for a guesstimate of 335-385.
