New GT500...goodbye to GT (Updated pics)
Well my girl and I spent the entire day at the Ford dealer. We brought home a 2008 Shelby GT500 and a 2008 Ford Edge. Traded in the 2007 Redfire GT and 2006 F-150 Supercrew. I almost had a tear come to my eye seeing them go....until I hopped in the Shelby and drove it home
It's a Torch Red with White stripes. The interior has the crimson inserts on charcoal. The drive was about 35 miles home and I only got on it once, but that thing is a beast. The dealer told me the supercharger doesn't really open up until you get about 100 miles on the car...I can't imagine what that will be like!!!!
I know, I know...this thread is worthless without pics. I will try to get some posted as soon as I can find our little camera adapter to upload em.
Tomorrow will be spent detailing the car since I had to drive it home and got a little bit of roadsplash.
Pics to come!
Some of the old and the new.....the F150 and redfire mustang that are now gone. The white Edge and torch red GT500 new.

RE: New GT500...goodbye to GT
Thanks all! Now where did I put that dang adapter to upload these pictures!!??? LOL
I must say by the time I left, there had already been 3 different people checking out my GT....it was one fine looking car.
Then on the way home some 16-17 year old kid almost rear ended the GT500 trying to snap pictures with his camera phone....[:@]

RE: New GT500...goodbye to GT
Sig done
I think I will be doing some mods....most importantly the exhaust...it is just too quiet stock. Do they make boomtubes for the GT500 ?
Possibly some rims in the future too...the one thing kind of lacking on the stock GT500 is the rims. I really like the razors I just saw in another post. Possibly a CAI and tune down the road but that's probably about it. Or at least that's what I say now
