My bad[8D], the car won't last a day.

 

I was just about to start a similar thread this should be the official carnage thread for great info, one thing about the s197 is that, for it being only 4yrs old, you don't hear a whole lot of thrown rods, cracked blocks, blown head gaskets, etc. from performace mods, FI, and abuse. Compared to previous models. ok my list is only parking brake at 36100(literally; Ford paid 80%), rear rotors need to be turned, and a turn signal bulb. I am still on stock brake pads! Oh yeah if it counts the 20" wheels repaired my wheel hop problem.

 

Had the whole rear end replaced at 3500 miles......under warranty. Sounded like a semi going down the road[:@]

 

4 p-nero tires (driving like an *******)
hood (someone jumped on it)[:@]
rear bumper (someone backed into me)[:@]
rear axle (360 in the rain into a revine)
rear sway bar...same as above
rear brake...same as above
1 bullit rim...same as above

all within the first year.
yeah i know lol a rough beginning.

 

So far in 2 months of ownership of the 06 GT. Ford has replaced the fuel pump & left side seat release handle. The wife's 07 nothing so far.

 

In a year and a half all I've had to replace is gas. Not counting all the parts that didn't need to be replaced but I replaced because I wanted to.

 

I replaced the NAGGING B**** in the passenger seat.....WON'T REPLACE.........

 

I just passed 6K and its time for some new tiresOther than that, haven't had any problems.

 

Not to p#ss you off guys but after 24K miles, not even a light bulb.
