Default automatics in reverse

When I put my car in reverse it makes a very faint grinding noise. This noise happens every once in awhile, the car is already warmed up, but the weather is always below freezing. The noise seems to be coming from somewhere in the engine bay, the noise happens when the brakes are both depressed and not, it doesnt matter. Does anyone else experience louder engine when in reverse? I've had the car for 25k+ miles I think I would have noticed this if it always happened. Just wondering if anyone else has this or if I have take the damn cai off and take it to the dealer

i have brenspeed tunes as well if it matters.. it seems when i put it into reverse it absolutely just shoots backwards and is very stiff, unlike park to drive which is a lot smoother and not nearly as much of a jolt, but i think thats pretty normal for these cars

i actually get the "shooting" action sometimes too...but its only once in a while

all the cars ive driven have done that at some time or another
