I was just about to order hood pins today and I stumbled onto a picture someone took showing that the ring parts were rusted. He had the ford racing ones, which I kinda like.

Does anyone know of a brand that's made entirely of stainless steel that will never rust? I can't believe anyone would even make ones that DO rust!!!

my only other requirement is that they have lanyards

You can always get a decent set of lanyards at PepBoys for around $10 and they look like any other hood pin lanyard. So I wouldn't let the requirement for lanyards limit your search for a better kit.

I have these installed. Worth the money and will not rust.

 

I have the ford racing ones, and the car stays outside. They haven't rusted at all. There are two guys in our club that are using the same ones, and they have had theirs on for a couple years now with no sign of problems.

 

maybe some people just had bad luck.. well I liked the ones from moss mustang so I just ordered them, hopefully they'll be good
