Default Pushbutton Start?

Has anyone installed the push button starter switch in the dash where the 12v input is located? There is a kit that latemodelrestoration.com is selling for 99.99. Just wondering how much of a pain in the butt it might be to install?

Any advice on this?

It just freaks me out to tear into a dash for the first time. Not sure to what extent the deconstruction is, or how it taps into the starter switch?

I do want it. Just not sure if I want to atempt the install myself or pay someone to do it.

I did this mod2 1/2years ago before resto mode was selling them. I got the idea from some one on another forum. I used a honda S2000 push button. It is a perfecr match for the IUP interior and the chrome ring around the button matches the ring on the AC vents. The S2000 button was only about $35 from H&A.

I wrote up a set of instructions. Here you go:

It's really not that hard to do. It took me about 2 hours. I did it the day after I got the car. most of the time was spent taking the car apart. and enlarging the hole for the push button. I wish I had a step drill bit then. I wound up using a dremmel. A step bit would have made the job much easier.
