Transitioning from stock --> Brenspeed tuned

It's going to take a week or two for your package to arrive.
So, until then use only 93 octane.

Now I'm just trying to think of a roadtrip I can take that's around 300 miles so that I can burn through the fuel all at once. If I do it just around town, the suspense is going to kill me!

But what are you considering "Empty". Gas guage Empty
or Fuel Tank Empty. Most modern cars show Empty on
the gas guage but still have a gallon or two in there.
Use the old 87 gas and run a 93 octane tank empty before
installing the CAI and tune. Running around with 93 and no
CAI or tune is OK, just a waste of octane.
Run it to empty and then run it about 20 miles more to get
the most of the 87 out of there. Empty on the gas guage is
not Empty in the tank. I ran mine after Empty on the guage
until no gas was being picked up.It took 39 miles to do so.

Just run your car to empty, go fill up and install the tune at the gas station. Thats what I've done several times.
And you do not have to run a whole tank of better gas before switching tunes. Completely a myth. Do you realize how small the fuel system is? There is not much room in there for leftover gas to sit. All of the residue leftover from the lower octane gas will be completely irrelevant when 16 gallons of higher octane is put in.

I think I'll probaby run the old 87 fuel through until my gas light comes on. Then I'll fill up on 93. Run that about half way - 3/4 of the way down, fill up, and install/tune.
Just wanted to make sure that I wasn't hurting anything by running 93 while stock.

Unfortunately, I think it'll probably be another week or two until I'm actually able to get it out. Winter is spitting and sputtering up here in the Northeast, and it's not unlikely for us to get some snow the first two weeks in March. Plus, I'm waiting on a good rain to really wash the salt off of the roads.
Now I'm just trying to think of a roadtrip I can take that's around 300 miles so that I can burn through the fuel all at once. If I do it just around town, the suspense is going to kill me!

Believe it or not, I drive my mustang everyday here!
I thought about making the trip up to Happy Valley, but not until it warms up (usually about a week before finals!) and the roads get cleaned off.
But my hat's off to you man. I bought an '88 Buick to get me through the winter. It's an ego killer driving that thing around. Amazing how differently people respond to you on the road.

Yeah, you should defenitely drive up here sometime, and let me know if you had free time when you're here!
I love driving my car around here. It's different! Not so many S197 GT's, probably 3 or 4 at the most!
Ok lets go back to the topic, what's the best way to transition from stock airbox/87 octane gas to CAI/93 Octane?

Yea man, I'll give you a shout. There are some really fun country roads to cruise on if you head out west college, especially out towards whipple dam. Of course, cruising in town is fun too.
Good thing I'm getting the CAI/Tune though, or else I wouldn't be able to keep up!

Ugh...still undecided about this...and still waiting for the package to arrive.
Not sure if I want to try the 87 tune first or go for the 93 tune right out of the box.
Can someone make up my mind?

93 first........if you put the 87 tune in first, you will notice a big increase.....then when you go to the 93, you will not notice as big of difference and be disappointed.....there are gains with 93 but you will not notice them near as much coming from a 87 tune.
Put the 93 in and never look back!
