Wind Deflector for Convertible
I've been debating purchasing a wind deflector.
Anyone have experience with how much wind it will cut down?
Friend of mine has one in her vert beetle and she claims that with it in place, barely blows her hair around and keeps the car very warm in spring/fall.

When you are on the highway, the wind comes from behind. The shield prevents the wind and makes the driver and passenger's area less windy. When the shield is in place, there can't be a passenger in the back seat.
"Wind back draft is reduced by up to 75%, which nearly eliminates wind buffeting and turbulence in the interior of the car."

I've been thinking about getting one of these as well. With the weather warming up, it's going to be top down driving soon!
Anyone have a picture of one of these that's not a close-up? I'd like more perspective on what the car looks like with the screen up. Also, are these easy to get on and off, or once their on, do you tend to keep them on so you don't have to mess around with taking them off/on?

Have a coupe myself, but know a few ppl with BMW convertibles, one has a wind deflector, the other doesn't.
When we caravaned up from San Luis Obispo to San Jose one afternoon-evening, had to pull over about halfway home so the person w/o the deflector could put their top up b/c they got too cold from the wind, so it def has its advantages in keeping you warmer. You can also hear better afterwards b/c there is less wind kicking around in the cabin, as noted before.

Let me get this straight. You purchase a convertible. You put down the top and then you aren't happy that your hair gets messed up and you're a tad chilly after a drive? They put these wind barriers in cars like BMW's for a reason. Its so your white tennis sweater , thats tied around your shoulders won't start flapping around. You wouldn't want a wayward sleeve slapping Buffy in the eye while on the way to get some quiche! Geesh...
