Stuck in a car wash today
I usually wash my car by hand but decided totake it to the local carwash instead. They are very careful and do a great job. I asked before I pulled in if I sat too low or if my tires were too wide, they just said "we do new corvettes all the time". So I pull in and my car suddenly stops. I give it a little more gas and all I hear is the back tires spinning. Turns out my drivers side relocation bracket was rubbing on the rail, my drivers side rear tire was in the air about a 1/4" and just spinning. They had to get a piece of wood and wedge it under the tire soI could back out. Anybody else ever have this happen?
only car wash i ever go to is the Mobil Touchless Carwashes, theres no rail or anything there to get stuck on, u just park inside it, like a garage, and the wash moves around your car to clean it. It does a pretty good job for a car wash (I mean they all suck, compaired to handwash) But i mainly love it because i know theres nothing touching my car at all, and in your case theres nothing to get stuck on.
yeah i need to find a place like that...
and yeah i quit using the Mikes carwashes around here once the relocation brackets were on.....you are asking for all the trouble in the world for even trying at that point!

If you wax your car then the Laser wash is the only way to go. Comes out nice and clean and there is way more water pressure too. Once I get out I do a spray wax. I can't put a brush on my car. But having the car nice and waxed once every 3-4 months makes the dirt come off alot easier and the Fukken wax kepts it nice and smooth ion between washes. I have staggered wheels so I go into the garage style one that has motion sensors.
Although I hate the automated car washes sometimes I have no choice but to use them on my cars.
Just simply too cold in the winter here to do it by hand.
I have been through the ones that just move around you car and sure would prefer that to the drive through..... not any of them around here though.
It hit over 50 today so I went and got it washed and then came home to give it a good detail spray and tire shine... what a difference! I think the car actually smiled at me when I was done.

I go to a local auto powerwash (touchless) called the TYPHOON!
Does a great undercarriage wash.

I go to the touchless wash too and ithas an undercarriage wash.
The last time while it was spraying water under the car, I heard a loud
whistle noise, thought it was the car wash. After a few minutes it didn't stop
so I reved up the car and the noise stopped. Any idea what that was?
