any tips for touch up paint
So I bought some touch up paint for the scratchs I have and I did some reading about it and I see that to need to sand it down. I want to know if its a MUST to sand down and or will it work if I clean and apply. If you did some touch up work any advice would be great thanks you guys.
Good question!
I'd also like to know this. I have a small spot on my roof that has ben chipped and I can see some rust. It's too small to sand unless it's somehow drill sanded. Can I just apply touch-up paint to it?

just becareful and make sure bottle is not leaking. i had a brand new bottle and used it once. during that time i didn't notice that the paint got on the bottom of my hand. i placed my hand on part of the back bumper while using the brush and had a big glob of paint on the bumper. the touch up paint dries very fast and it's also very hard. i had a pro detailer buddy try and remove it and it wouldn't come off at all. so i took the back bumper off and got a new one from Diversified. Chips are small "pits" under magnification. First, be sure to strp any wax off the area. I use a very fine model paint brush (the fibers from a torn match from a matchbook workss well, too) and some maginification and use the very tip of the brush to fill the pit. Try not to brush but just fill the pit by dabbing.
Here's a great video from Dupli-Color that makes it look pretty easy and takes the fear out of sanding the paint.
