what would you do?
its just came to my attention that im inheriting some money, im not going to say a number. i was thinking i have 2 options for what im not putting in a savings account.
1: get another trunk since i blew mine up mudding a few months ago. so i was thinking get a 2000ish f150 or wrangler. lift it and get some 35" mudds. ill be putting less miles on the mustang and make the trunk my dd.
or
2: headers, high flow catted xpipe, new rims.
please explain why you picked what you picked. im leaning towards the truck but i want to get more power in the stang.
thanks

RE: what would you do?
I personally would get the truck. I live in Texas country and there is always a need for a truck of some sorts. A nice muddin' truck would be great to have, but isn't as economical especially with fuel prices on the rise. However for me, it would suit better to have a truck and a mustang, instead of just a faster mustang. This past thanksgiving I went and bought an LCD television and took my stang instead of my pickup, totally not thinking. We get the TV out to the car and it won't fit in the trunk. In the box, it won't fit inside my car, period. So we cut off the top of the box until it was flush with the top of the TV and stood it from seat to roof, side to side behind the front seats. It was very uncomfortable as I have to drive with my seat all the way back being around 6'3". I was practically driving home on my dash.
So good luck to you in deciding what you're going to do with your fun part of your money. Either way you're going to enjoy your vehicles and either way you probably won't regret it. If I had the truck you want to buy I couldn't say that right now my vehicle is stuck in my yard beside my driveway on a spare tire in a foot of icy mud. But since I forgot to move my stang back into the driveway the other day, it's going to stay where it sits, on a spare tire, for several more days until the ground hardens up.

I'd get the DD. When I bought my mustang last winter I was going to sell my jeep come spring and here I am, a year later and I've still go it. I LOVE the fact that if it's nasty out, I have a car I can take and don't have to muck up the nice stang.

The truck....a daily driver is a must.
You mentioned you want more power to the Stang but the mods you listed would only give you minimal power gains. Do you have enough available to get blown?

RE: what would you do?
i think i speak for everyone when i say buy some torch red strut tower covers from midwest auto gear. we'll cross the bridge of you not having a torch red stang and giving them to another forum member who does at a later date. >_>
anyways, my vote is for the truck. i wish i had the money for one, it would be a lot nicer to drive around in chicago winters instead of my stang.
