Paint Touch Ups
I ran into some poor luck with my car today. I was on the highway and a truck kicked up a rock that then flew into my hood. Theres no dent but I got a nasty little chip on my car now. It's not even big but I can see it and its bothering me. My car is only 4 days old...
Anyone know how I can get this touched up to look perfect again without costing me too much? Im having my insurance come and send an adjuster out to see if they will cover it without making me pay the deductible since its so small.
Worse is that the rock also hit my windshield... =\
Im willing to go to a good third party locally if anyone can direct me to a trusted shop. Im located in orlando, FL.

RE: Paint Touch Ups
I have a touchup paint I bought from the dealership. I have several paint chips from rocks. It's going to cost you more to go somewhere to have that one chip repaired than doing it yourself with a dealer touchup paint that you can buy from the parts dept.

Yep!
I know what your going through. I finally realized that I have to not follow other vehicles so closely and always be aware of what is on the road around me and avoid the potentials. This won't eliminate all the chances for a chip but can highly reduce them.
Like the others I too have touch up bottle from the dealer. It's surprising how it camouflages the chip but the chip is still there.
Other than getting a bra, touching it up is the only thing I can think of.
It does seem the car chips easily.
My plan is to deal with it until some day I get the car re-paintedwith several coatsof clear seal.
