Predator or SCT?

Predator or SCT?
what are most people going with? both seem to have their upsides. I want something that will give me a way to really tune the car after my mods, headers, exhaust, intake, supercharger, etc.
just want to see others opinions.
Thanks,
Matt

after a bunch of reading/searching on these forums, I picked the XCalibrator... not everyone agrees with that though... you should prolly search through the forums and decide which one you will be most comfortable with...

RE: Predator or SCT?
That is technically a tricky question.
While yes, it does mean that you can flash your computer yourself and you would not have to rely on a shop to do it, it doesn't necessairly mean or imply that you would have the knowledge to adjust the program you are flashing to suit your driving preferences. Also, it is a good idea to hit a dyno ( which I doubt you have one in your garage ) to do the adjustments to your tune. Which, you can do with a Preditor. You cannot do it with the current version of the XCal.

RE: Predator or SCT?
Thanks for the info. So let me see if I got this right. At first, I should have it done at a shop with the tuner that I buy (on a dyno). Then, maybe a couple more times after each mod after that. Would it be safe to say that after doing this several times I would learn how the car reacts to different tunes and be able to do it myself?

RE: Predator or SCT?
May not be necessary, depending on the mods in question. No real need to reflash after a plasma upgrade, or underdrive pulleys. If you went with different gears or different size wheels you might want to reflash. But yes, you would eventually ( hopefully ) learn how the vehicle reacts to different tunes and choose the one you prefer and flash it yourself.
Now having said that, I am about to go out in the garage and start jacking up mine with my Preditor
