so i was standing outside of my car with my system knocking hard. and my trunk is ratteling loud as hell. it dosent look like i can fix it with dyno mat alone. the entire trunk lid is vibrating alot. any ideas on how to stop? how did you fix it?

 

dyno mat, move subs to interior of car. Ford built the trunk bad so its gonna rattle just by its design flaws.

Yeah, the shaker 1000 rattles the crap out of my trunk. It seems to be another Ford "feature"...It's on my list of things to fix as well

 

Mine rattles the whole trunk as well, but I've gotten used to it for the most part. If anyone knows of a cheap fix though, let me know

 

Adding a lot, lot of weight by dynamat or the better cheaper alternative www.secondskinaudio.com 's damplifier. Pull out the plastic latch cover and get it to wedge fit fit somehow. Mostly just add as much weight as you can with the damplifier. And if there is any trunk adjustment make it tighter.

One of many reasons i deem subs unncessary in my mustang. I had them, i liked them. Better money spent elsewhere.

 

Not really anything else you can do man, just add ALOT of dynomat

+1. I have two 10's and the trunk rattles like those little $500 ricer mobiles where they spent more money on the stereo than the car.. I HATE it.. Buy a louder exhaust, and turn the radio up so you can't hear the rattle.
