275/40 looks really small unless you're lowered 1.5" or more.

Really? I wouldn't think so just based on the diameter of the tires. The stock 17" tires have a diameter of 27.1" while 275/40/18s are showing a diameter of 26.7" That's not much of a difference..

Sorry, I think I've totally hijacked this thread... sorry dude.

When I went from 235/50/18's to 275/40/18's I think I only lost about 0.5" in overall diameter. I think my 275's fill the well better than the 235's since the 275's stick out more than the other.
