Default Spring Installation

Should you get your car aligned after you install springs?

If yes, what about after you install sway bars, LCA's, panhard bar?

The reason I ask is because I plan on getting my springs done today, but here in the somewhat near future I am getting sways bars, and possibly LCA's & panhard bar, so I don't want to have to get it done twice.

Suggestions?

depends how much you're lowering it.... front springs or just rears? if you lower it more than an inch in the rear you should really get the pinion angle checked... if you're getting adjustable lca's you definitely need to get the angles checked in the rear....

Front, rear springs both?
Rear only, no alignment is needed.
Front springs, yes alignment.

FRPP springs 1.5 inch drop. Can the alignment wait a few weeks?

No, you will haveway too muchtoe that will scrubb those fronts bald.
The bump steer will be scary at high speeds. Yor camber will also be
way out of spec and again, tire wear.

a couple weeks really won't hurt anything... a little odd tire wear and it won't feel right till you get it done is all...

Im running the same FRPP springs with the same drop, on 20" rims. I waited almost a month and didnt hurt anything. I do recommend camber bolts so they dont have to drill out. Camber bolts are only about $40 or so and you can order them online. You can have the alignment without camber bolts but with them they can get a more dead-on alignment. Ive had mine done without the bolts but next alignment will be with the bolts.

Cool thanks, I am having them align the car while im in there, better safe than sorry. I will work on the camber bolts etc when I do the rest of it.

Thanks for the advice everyone.

The camber bolts are part of the alignment procedure.
I would recommend having them when put in when
they align the front end or they will elongate the holes
to set the camber and then the bolts will be useless
with elongated holes, and on top of that, you will have
to pay for another alignment when you get the camber
bolts. [:@]
