I went down to the dealer to order a gt500 chin for my car like some of you... they said it was 101 bucks. i read it was only about 60 bucks and want to know where you ordered yours from or where i can go get one from. i want to put it on before saturday's bmc cruise. i'm going to order a set of clear corners right now too but really wanted to get the chin put on before sat. is there somewhere online i can order it from?

 

try a different dealer - it shouldn't be more than $65, unless something changed.

 

does anyone have the part number so i can call around at other dealers?

ok, What you can start off by doing is taking1 longpiece of electrical tape and place it over the holes that are in front. i used to have black bolts but the tape looks 100x better, trust me. Next your going to have to get the front of the car high enough to get a drill under. I used some 2x4's and drove on top of them since i dont have a jack.(Use a Jack) the hole in the wheel well needs to be longer.before you drill into the bottom of the bumper, mark the spots with a sharpie where the holes in the chin would be on the bumper. once they are drilled just bolt up the chin with some bolts and washers. dont forget the washers.

Opps.. Oh well..

 

Just a quick note. Use some of the existing screws and holes as a guide. This is dead on. I also used self tapping screws which was much easier. I also cut out some of extra plastic on the chin spoiler it give you a much better fit as your not forcing it in.
