Updates on California Dreams hood?

Updates on California Dreams hood?
Anyone know if there have been any improvements to the Californai Dreams hood? The posts I read when searching were from a while ago and most seemed to think the hood was too problematic to prep and install. Nice looking hood but not worth the time/prep/trouble from what I read...

Ive got one. It did require alot of work. I have seen some recently on ebay that look better. They include a plate the the latch mount which mine didnt have. They also guarantee the fitment. But no way to know for certain.

That's interesting -I found this one - looks exactly the same - but called GTR Ram Air hood by Trufiber. They do guarantee fitment. Maybe I am confused and California Dreams was just a vendor? It's a nice hood - just wondering about the vents - Do they let water in to the engine?

It does get some water in. But it doesnt drip into the engine it goes to the front of the hood. I put two small holes underneath to let it drip out. Your link looks like the same hood i posted just more expensive. Its also called the concept hood. It was in one of the original mustang concept pictures.

There was a question a while back about hoods with built in ram air, the overall consensus was yes, they do let water in, but water for the most part won't hurt anything on the engine in the areas where it does. Some people have put holes to make their own water outlet so the water doesn't dump on their intake.
