Default Clear bra using LLumar Film

What's your opinion of using LLumar Film that's manufactured by CPFilms for a clear bra?

http://www.llumar.com/

I called the local Ford dealership here in Chico, Ca. about getting a clear bra installed on our Red Fire 2007 Mustang GT. They said they didn't do it but suggested I try a place called Advanced Window Tint. I metBob theowner/operator of the shop who seems to be mature and competent. He's been in business for 20 years.Bob does't especially like using 3M products. He prefers to use LLumar film from CPFilms instead. He gave me an estimate of $250 - $400.

We're planning a road trip to Montana this summer, so I'd like to get some protection installed to protect the front bumper and hood from rock chips.

Thanks in advancefor sharing your experience, comments, and suggestions.

Llumar is some of the best tint out their. The clear bra should help keep the hood and bumper from geting rock chips in it. I would get it. Once I learn how to install it, I will put it on my car. I just got a new job as an installer at a car audio shop that also does tint.

Lucky, thanks for your response. I've been told that the clear bra installation is challenging and requires great skill and patience to get it done just right.

Congrats on your new job as an installer. Please let us know what your experience was like installing a clear bra on your Mustang.

I would also like to hear how this stuff holds up and how beneficial it is. I normally have put bra's on the front of all my mustangs, except the classic ones, but I put a chin spoiler on my new one so I can't put a bra on it. I don't care for the bra's particulary but they do keep your front end in perfect condition.

i had the llumar put on my old car. it turned hazy so the company that installed it ended up putting the 3m clear bra on instead. never had any problems after that. i have the 3m on my mustang can't even notice it. definitely a good investment.

Roush, thanks for the heads up on llumar turning hazy. I don't want to go through having it removed only to have the 3m clear bra installed instead. I think I'll keep looking around the my area for some place that installs 3m clear bras.

Thanks for the thumbs up on the 3m bra on your Mustang.
