Default FR500 Center cap help!

So I really don't like the center caps that came with the wheels. I really want something with the classic running pony on it. I had purchased large pony caps from American Muscle, like I have for every other wheel I've purchased, but they don't fit. They appear to be the same diameter, but the ones that fit the wheels are half the depth of the standard pony cap. Anyone know where to get a center cap that'll fit?

The cap that came with the wheels is on the left, the standard pony cap is on the right.

On the AM site where you got the center caps, it says "These caps fit all of our Bullitt wheels and will fit the FR500 and GT500 wheels with minor modifications."

I'd call them or email them and ask them what the "minor modification" is.

I'll ask them, but I'm not sure that they're the same wheel. Mine are from Wheel Replicas. But thanks, I'll try them.

Any way to swap the top caps, from the picture it looks like you could probably get them off.

Nope. Thought of that myself, but the acrylic is twice as thick on the Ford cap as it is on the ZR cap. So it would still stick out.

I sent an email to AM, hopefully they'll give me some insight. Otherwise, it looks like I'm stuck with going with a decal.

Please post the answer that they give you. I also have the FR500 Replica wheels and hate the center caps. I have been searching on and off for almost a year now to find center caps that fit these wheels, but have come up empty handed.

The centercaps from parts cheap will work....at least they did on the CT-R rims I had. They don't sit flush in the hole, but they aren't supposed to. They looked good.

I've thought about those, because I know they're about the same depth. But I don't really want the silver trim.

It's been 2 months. How long does it take you to drive over and talk to Jeff??!!

J/K - I've been looking into this and I guess the cool flat pony ones only fit the AM bullitt wheels (they have pics on their site). Looks like all the FR500's take the shorter cap that's in the pic above. I don't think the caps with the silver rim (see pic) would look too bad. Assuming they fit which is what I've been told.
