I want my 2005 Mustang GT Deluxe to look like CAR 1 with the interior without the Satin / aluminum steering,dash,shifter.

I ordered one but I am worried that it will be black on the top part and grey on the lower part like the bottom picture. I ordered it will the Black leather but I didn't specify a Interior upgrade so i am wondering now.



CAR 1- All black


CAR 2 - Black on the top and lower dash is grey



Can someone please help me clear this up...

One is Gray interior...the other is black.

Whats the size of the stock steering wheel?

 

The color of the lower dash and side console depends on the color interior you ordered. If you ordered black then the dash and console will be black. Ask a dealer for a broshure and it will show all the interior choices.

 

My dealer said this is what you get when you order a GT with charcoal leather. But I don't think that sounds right... I thought you could get exactly like this without the chrome parts of it.

your over thinking it, it will be what you originally wanted.

 

If you did not order IUP and you were not charged for IUP then it will look just like this picture but with out the chrome rings and satin finish dash accents. You should be happy then. Take a look at your order sheet that should tell you what was ordered.

I just want the black dash but I got the upgraded Black Charcoal leather so I wasn't sure if it brough on other things...


Jesus I just got off the phone again with the dealer and they said that getting the Black Leather in a GT DELUXE requires you to get the chrome dash upgrade for some reason I am not buying that can someone help me out there?

Thats news to me. If that is the case, trade with one of the V6 owners. They like the GT looking stuff on their V6's.

 

only thing that sucks is it will have sticky stuff all over the dash if I pull it off... or some dumb holes or something I know it

 

It sounds like you're trying to buy a GT from a dealer's showroom. Most of the GTs will have some kind of interior package, either the Sport Package, with the sating steering wheel and shifter, or the IUP which adds the satin dash. Those packages increase the cost of the vehicle and their profit. Plus you pay taxes on the $450 option.
I did notice in the brochure that while all Mustangs come with black dashes, even if you have Parchment or Graphite interior, the Standard Interior photo shows what you don't want- but I believe like TD1320 said it probably shows a Graphite Interior
