And my Ipod sits there. I just slid the mount between the bracket/fingers.

Great spot for it. I did basically the same thing back when I had the Roady XT for my XM. I have since changed to an in dash unit.....

Here's some quick pics I just took. I need to clean up the cable but you can see how I ran it for my AVIC-D3. I never have trouble with it.
