Well there you go, in "internet auto diagnosis" there are very few "defs". But, there are frequently more than one "possibles"

Yep. the fans cool the radiator when idling. They will come on around 215-220 and they cool it off surprisingly quick. If The fan isn't working then it will overheat.

I agree... I'm a big fan of those.

Especially here in FL, during summer time[&:].

So how does a bad fan affect air conditioning? I thought only a belt belt problem could affect coolant and a/c.

But Ill shutup.

The A/C condenser is a radiator and it`s mounted in front of the coolant radiator. It depends on differential temperature to shed heat and return the refrigerant to gas ( or is that liquid?)
When there is no air flow because the the fans are kaput, and the rad behind it is boilinghotit can no longer maintain the cooling to the degree you expect. A/C vents no longer blow air that`s "cold" Simple really.

was it a bad fan or did a relay go bad to cause the fan not to come on?

Finally got the car back today and all seems to be ok. The dealership took really good care of me and they even took care of the airbag recall as well. Thanks for the help guys.
