Default Electrical issues/low battery?

I'm trying to get my car finished this weekend. Tonight I decided I would plug the ZUNE in and listen to some tunes while working in the garage. Not sure why, but...............NO radio, window up or down, fog lights, dome lights.............don't remember now (too much on mind), either the instrument cluster or the radio said "low battery". The car has been sitting for maybe a month. WTF is up with that? I'm confused at why the A/C, wipers, mirrors, headlights work, but other stuff does not. Why is the battery dying so soon? I have a 2000 Ranger sitting in the driveway with the original Ford battery, hardly ever drive the thing because I drive a company vehicle home every day, yet the truck starts every time attempted. WTF? I checked all the fuses in the car, looks good. I don't believe I messed with, bumped, or moved anything electrical while working on the rear end. I haven't had the "leaking passenger side" issue. I confused.

Is this what happens when the battery gets low? Hopefully the charger helps.

Do you have a Shaker system? Seems that if you don't shut the system off when you turn off the ignition the amp stays on and drains the battery. And our Stangs have some strange symptoms when the battery is low from what I read.

Yes, our cars basically go stupid when the battery gets really low. When mine got low the hazards when on and got stuck on, the radio would keep resetting itself, the throttle body went wild, there was a weird horn sound coming from the trunk area, and the list goes on. All was well after just 30 seconds hooked up to a charger.

While working on the car all last week, I did have the trunk open at least 2 or 3 days, so I'm sure the trunk light drained it. I probably left one of the doors cracked open too.

I do have the Shaker 1000 system, but usually do not listen to it on the battery alone.
