Default '05 GT, Steeda CAI, Predator

Hello

I installed my Steeda CAI, with Predator tune yesterday. This is a Predator from Steeda with Steeda tunes installed. It seems to really be adding power to my '05 GT. I have not been back to the Dyno yet to varify this. However, I now have a dead spot in the throttle at just over 2000 rpm to about 3200rpm. Since I have just received the Predator I am still learning how the adjustable parameters work. I have advanced the timing for the 2-4K range and it seems to be correcting this. Is there anything I should be concerned with in doing this. I will be going back to the Dyno this week and asking questions there as well... Any advice?

Thanks

This issue was thouroghly addressed by an insider at Diablo Sport on another forum (I think it was Allfordmustang forums). In short, the guy said that DSP does recognise the problem and will have a fix (in the form of a downloadable tune off their webpage) very shortly (a week or so). Other people have been advancing the timeing in that range also with decent results. One guy went like +6 over the DSP perf. tune. My advice....get yourself a PC adaptor cable and check their site regularly for updates.

Hope mine dosn't have the same problem.

Thanks

I did get the Steeda/Predator revision, and WOW what a difference. The throttle lag is gone and ther car feels much better..snappier, smoother etc.
Not sure if there is an actual HP/TQ gain due to the tune, but it certainly feels better. I'll just have to go back to my buddy's dyno & find out :-)

I just checked Diablo's web site and they have removed all the downloadable tunes for the '05 GT. Where was it that you were able to fine the new file? I would love to get my hands on and give a try.

You are correct, the ROM updates are still there. What is gone is the link to custom tunes that they used to have:

...So is "R10" the most current revision I should be using? When I used your link up comes "R17"
