Default Steeda Engine mounts?

Arethere any real benefits to replacing stockengine mounts with these Steeda high performance jobs?

If I were to get new motor mounts I'd get the Prothane ones from Brenspeed.

They are much stronger than the stock ones which are liquid filled to reduce engine vibration inside the car.. And i think you get slightly better off the line response since the engine doesnt move as much..

I had the Prothane ones on my car for a while.
v6 auto
Shifts and engine seemed smoother.
I was happy with them, but there was an issue with the knock sensor on MY car and I took them back off due to it.
No one else on here has ever reported the problem. I think you would be happy with them. Install is fairly simple.
PM me if you would like a great deal on a set with about 30 miles on them

I have them on mine. Tacobill also has a write up on installing these and his findings. I did mine when i put on my longtubes. Definately stronger than the stockers. Now when i rev my car hard the whole car torques instead of just the motor.

I really wish I would have done them when doing the LTs.

ok. thanks. The Steeda site gives the following description, and they sell for about $200. I was just wondering if the $200 is a good investment.

The weakest link in your drivetrain may be the hydra-mounts used for mounting the engine. While they get the damping job done, they can be prone to fatigue, sagging and/or leaking even with only limited hard use. These direct replacements eliminate the hydra-coupling, and do a better job of directing your engine's efforts to the wheels as well as maintaining proper engine/driveline geometry. Supplied with with two sets of bushings with different durometer ratings, making it a very versatile kit for street or race use.
