ORIGINAL: BigFloppy

Just take your time, it'll be worth it!
Decide if you're going to go full stealth (hiding your NAV antenna under dash / rear compartment)
Are you getting Sirius or Xm to go with it cause it would be easier to install all at once rather than having to take everything out to install those as well
Personally, I've got BOTH my XM and Sirius receiver boxes behind the rear-seat, the Blue-Tooth adapter is hidden beneath the center colsole (at the side of the cup-holders)

You'll definitely enjoy the Z2!

OH yeah, don;t forget to do the "bypass" as listed here.... http://www.sminntech.com/z1flash.html#newbypass

That looks great! Where did you install the antennas for nav and sat. radio?

I didn't hide mine.... You can clearly see all 3 warts on the rear yellow trunk stripe

REMEMBER, if you get tints installed GO WITH NON-METALLIC or you won;t be able to hide the antennas very effectively inside the car (You'll lose reception)

you're going to need a mounting kit for the Nav unit as well

Circuit City for the Antenna, Wiring Herness, Mounting Kit
Radio Shack for 5V regulater / resistor

You'll probably find that the one from CircuitCity doesn't come with the BASS outputs (you'd have to ask them for hat one separately)... at least that what it was 3 years ago

The one from Crutchfield comes 100% complete

I have a Z2 in my F150. I put the GPS antenna under the front dash in the cab. I dont have any trouble getting a signal. XM will need clear line of site.
