Installing SC

RE: Installing SC
I think that new porcharger kit is the easiest install. It is the new HO one and you dont even have to touch the intake manifold or anything. I really like the fact that the blower has its own independant belt. Probably be alot less issues.
This was my #3 choice after the Whipple and Saleen. I liked the ease of install and the idea of a more linear power curve, but in the end decided the whipple was the best.
Plus prochargers seem to be hit or miss quality wise. You either get one that works great or a dud. Plus from what I have read they can be a pain to deal with customer service wise. No problems like that with the whipple.

RE: Installing SC
well, depending on the SC (like the Rousch) you are working with fuel delivery, electronics, heating and cooling, ignition, manifold, etc. etc. Tech Recommended would be an understatement IMO. This would not be an install that I would want anyone to 'figure out' while doing it. It also helps A LOT if you have the right array of tools. my mechanic brother would be like 'yeah, man lets DO IT this weekend' but he is an A&P mechanic so he works complex engines and mechanical systemsall the time. He still would nottune it...canned tune = less probsfor sure, but who would troubleshoot it?
