Hello Everybody,

maybe I become more frequently user that nice forum... I've found a nice Mustang with a bargain price... and I wuold like to check it and probably buy it.

I'm from Europe, Poland and there bargain price means: be very carefull when buying a car.

Becouse my knowledge about mustangs is very poor so far, I would like to ask you some questions:

The car has only one key. Is it a standard?
There is no service history book and no owners manual...
Where I could check the VIN number (is it mulitplicated at the body? any secret stickers?)
Where I could check the engine number and mayby production series number (some times in EU but in other countries are existing 2 identical cars with same VIN, same equipment etc... but one was "prepared" by "smart guys"... I would like to avoid such surprise)?

Maybe someone is able to check the VIN number more deeply than CARFAX data base (1ZVFT80N665235975). I'm able also to read number plates but do not have any idea where are them from: DZY 44 sth....

Or maybe finallysome one is recognising that car ? [&:]
it has delicate rear right wing damage and GT badge in place of standard mustang rear badge (it's V6)




I'll be very glad for any answears... I'm crazy a little about that car...

 

I ran a carfax check for you and the report indicates this is a two owner car.
There is also anALERT stating thereis a problem with the odometer reading on this car.
I would be just a little wary of this one without some further checking.
If I knew how to post the report here I would put it up for everyone to see but I don't know how.

Can you run a carfax for me too? lol. I just bought my car, and I think it may have at one point been in a minor collision.

Two owners on an 05/07 car? (Not sure what year this is)
That with the alert, one key and no owners manual you should let it go, but that's just my opinion.
You asked about the plates, they are New Jersey if that's the question you had.

 

I would just walk away. There are so many of these cars around, that it won't be hard to find a nice clean car with a history, for a good price. What is really a good deal? Save a grand or so when you buy the car and get hit with large repair bills later and have even a harder time trying to sell it when you are ready to get rid of it? Its just not worth the risk.

 

@gandyjthank you very much for CARFAX running, I checked that the car and there exist4 readings, also another data base (forgot the name)has 8 reports for it... haven't receive PM, but going to send you my priv ebox, CARFAX report is very welcome there
That odo problem means probably that I should be careful for that 10k miles shown on clock... but is there any other trouble somwere arround?

@dcottrell6well... I think that car was bought by man who is selling it now and he is current owner. tank's for uncover plates for me... now... is there any policeman from new jersey and is able to take a look at that car?

@MELLOWYELLOW06 there is a little problem... I'm from EUROPE Poland currently we've got here 24 Stangs S197 for sale, and only 4 manual V6 which I'm looking for... most of them had more or less minor collisions and it is not as easy to find good stang... but you are right about possible problems, so I need to check it very careful.

Tommorow the carspecialist from DEKRA will check that car, but he is a specialist in european cars rather...

 

Ha! A European lookin' for a Mustang? That's pretty cool. But I gotta say, driving these things around is no joke given the price of gas over there.

 

I've just sold my 1995 Jaguar XJR which was doing 11 mpg, so V6 stang is for me an improovment
Also have LR Defender 300 TDi (Diesel)... but my plan is to install LPG alternative fueling for Mustang. Poland is the biggest LPG instalation andfueling stationsmarket and we are expirienced in U.S. cars from that point.

The liter of unleaded 95 costs us 1,95 USD (Diesel 1,90) while LPG just 1 USD.

Of course our average sallary is much lower than in U.S. but fortunatelyI'm earning enough to drive stang.

 

Carfax sucks. I bought a 94 z28 that had been TOTALED and didnt show up on carfax. [:@]

 

^was it reported to the DMV? if so, carmax wouldve bought youre car.
