Default blow vs draw through

I have alwaysheard how blow through was better but I was talking with a german car guy who does a lot of custom kits and he was explaining how draw through was better. Is it just a tuners preference or is one really better than the other

3,2,1....DISCUSS!

blow through is better for F/I, much more accurate with the air metering. You dont want a drawthru MAF thinking no more air is entering while the compressor is still blowing compressed air out for another split second.

EDIT: Let me point out that yes, blow through MAFs will get much hotter and get hit with oil as they'll be placed next to the TB, but its necessary for correct air metering. Its just way too important in an F/I engine.

Now if you're recirculating your blowoff valve your air then you'll want a drawthrough.... but I couldnt tell you exactly why that works. But its possible your smart buddy said drawthru is superior because hes talking about a recirculating setup.

I am no expert but blow through or draw through shouldnt affect air metering since it has to go by the MAF anyway. In my opinion it is the fact the IAT senser is in the MAF and you want to read the temps after the turbo and not before.

Thats my 2 cents.
