Default Tech Question - Help!

Hello All,

I have a 2008 GT, and I was driving home from a little while ago, and on the 45th mile of my 60 mile drive, I had the following problem happen. I was cruising at about 70, and had to drop to 45 because someone didn't have sunglasses on, I then go to speed up, hit the throttle and nothing happens. I see the Tach bouncing, andI can hear the engine in rythym with the Tach. I also hear what I presume was backfiring. I try the throttle again and i experience the same problem. I am able to the car a little bit of gas and it behaves fine, but I mean I had to feather it. With this going on, I coast to the next exit, and come to a stop and have the same problem. After pulling to a side street and contemplating my options, I shut it off, restart it and then the car is behaving fine. I drove the remaining 10 miles home without a single problem. Have any of you experienced this? Also, some background information on the car to address any questions. 1) No Mods 2)Automatic 3) Gas was a little less than 1/2 with about 120 to go on the computer. 4) No Trouble Code came up on the dash

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!I am going to try to bring it into the dealership in the morning which I am not pleased with but either way it would have to go in for the recall notice.

Thanks in advance

Default RE: Tech Question - Help!

There's a well documented problem with some fuel pumps which give problems after or during long-ish drives. There's a TSB out for it, I think [?]
