...needless to say I'm crying inside right now! Does anyone know how to buff out the damage to the rims?

See if you can find a good rim repair shop in your area. It's much cheaper that buying a new one, I saw a link here to a web site for a company in the N.E US some where. Try a search and I'm sure you will find it. They indicated the avg repair cost was $125.00 a wheel.

But, I would make the hummers insurance buy me a new one first. You could still get that one repaired and have a spare rim just in case you need it later on down the road. If those are 20's, trust me your going to need it.

I'm definitely going to look into getting the rim repaired once I complete the repairs on the body...I've already got a fender on order, and will most likely get it installed sometime next week. I wish the H2's insurance would pay for it...but he got away! *****!

Go to a rim repair shop, like Super said. I got ran into a pothole this week, completely bent up my right front rim, broke the seal on the tire, and I thought the rim was toast. I had to go about 30 miles off to college, but my dad ran it to the shop for me and picked it up yesterday. He says its good as new.
