Car surges when cold

Car surges when cold
Since I uploaded my 91 octane tune from Brenspeed the car will surge a bit during the first minute after a cold start. Sometimes the car will start bucking. Has anyone else experienced this? I e-mailed Brent at Brenspeed and he said it could be something called the IMRCs (butterflies in the intake manifold) opening.

I have this problem I called brent about it, they told ME it was from the winter gas I was using and their cars were having the same problem. I was using their saleen stage 3 SC tune too. I don't remember if this fixed it but I spent amonth trying to fix it, try cleaning the MAF and throttlebody see if that helps any. Good luck.
My car has been in the shop for like 2 weeks with another 2 weeks to go so I can't remember where I was at with that issue.

RE: Car surges when cold
My car does not have the surging but does do the bucking for about the first minute or so when cold. My car did not do this until I installed my tune. My tune is from Alternative Auto by the way so the problem is not limited to Brenspeed.

RE: Car surges when cold
Until you car is completely warm, inconsistent RPM readings is pretty normal.....now after you have warmed up the car completely, fluctuations are not a normal occurance, but i agree that in the winter months, all cars will act a little different.

RE: Car surges when cold
I know when I had my 4.6L with the K.B. on it we had it tuned rich. The car had the same problem during the cold months. It took a little longer then normal to get warmed up and even after would buck a little when I first drove it until it got completely warmed up. Are there any signs the car is running rich?
