Default Check Engine light after a jump?

Had a dead battery the other day (Don't ask), so I got a battery charger from a buddy.. that took too long and we decided to jump it. Now the Check Engine light is on.. did I fry something? It's an 07 stick.

check the trouble code and let
us know what it is

it may be alternator related

that happened to me but the light went off shortly. maybe drive around to charge the battery and then unplug the battery and let it sit for a few minutes and then start it up...

How does one get the car to give us these codes?

With a code reader.
A Diablo tuner or an MSD DashHawk or something like an
Equiss code reader or AutoZone can pull the code?

The days of shorting two wires on the ODBII connector and
counting the check engine light flashes are over. [:@]

Auto Zone around here will read your codes for you and reset them. You may have to wait a bit until they aren't busy. They do it hoping to sell you parts.

It's most likely a code in the ABS module for low battery voltage. Nothing major.

Unplugging it for a few minutes worked.. I disconnected the NEG terminal for about 20 minutes and the light went away after I plugged it back in. *Whew!*
