Tilt Wheel
Is it me or is the tilt wheel useless? It seems that even If I set the wheel as low as it goes It still feels like I'm driving a bus. If I put my seat up its still to high and then my head would hit the roof.
Is there any way to mod the wheel to make it tilt any lower?

Great question. Wish I had the answer as well. I always have the wheel all the way down and don't have to move it to get in and out, so I agree, what's the point?! And at 6'1", it's not like I'm short! Sorry [sm=rant.gif]
It tilts fine for us skinny MFers. But it does have limited
movement. Its the airbag assembly that forced Ford
to limit its travel to just a few degrees user adjusable.
Maybe get a lowrider Impalla for thedesired effect?

I feel your pain. The thing I hate MOST about my car is the steering wheel. Not only did they put a wheel the size of a tractor trailers on the car but also only gave you 2' of tilt!!!
I loved the wheel/tilt on my 86' stang. It was PERFECT!

I drive with mine all the way up. You must be statuesquely challenged.
I'm 6'1' and if I drove with it all the way up I'd have my hands at the 4 and 8 oclock positions. lol! I also keep my seat height all the way down, maybe that has something to do with it.
Maybe it's just me, but you should sit LOW in a sports car.

Maybe it's just me, and probably is JUST me, but I like to rest my wrist on the top of the steering wheel while driving. It helps if the steering wheel is perpendicular to my body for this to occur. ALL of my other cars with tilt allowed this. There is no WAY that this wheel will ever be low enough or small enough for that to occur. Therefore I either just keep my hands in my lap and drive with the bottom of the wheel or rest my arm on the door and use my left hand.
I'm not the type that keeps my hands at the 10-2 oclock positions at all times. It's just not comfortable for me.
