Default Shelby FRPP Axle Backs

There are like 3 different options of exhaust for the GT500....5230-5GT, 5230-SGT and SVT.....what is the difference between them??? I know one are the stingers...but the ones that say they are designed for the GT500 are like 300 bucks more.

On other forums I see folks installing the GT kind. Does anyone know what the difference is and if it's really worth 300 extra bucks?

Im not sure, but my guess is no

I know when I looked for prices on a replacement bumper for my CS, the one labeled CS was about $50 cheaper than the one labeled GT500, even though they are the same part, and the GT500 version has less paint [&:][&:]

good luck though

5GT and SGT are very similar borla stingers round mufflers. 5GT is louder but will drone a little... But you want loudness, right?

The SVT, I dont know... Its a special design, some say for the KR mustang, who knows. Its a rare piece...

Yep, a more aggressive deep rumble is what I'm after.....it's a weekend car only so drone isn't too big of a deal. I was just shocked at the $300 price difference when the things look exactly the same. I figured one must flow better...

You got a GT500, so maybe you should just go for it. its only a one-time thing..... but hey, does the GT500 already have round mufflers or still the oval chambered ones?

I'm pretty sure they are oval but they are wayyyyyy to quiet for a 500hp machine. The stock GT is louder than the stock GT500 IMO.

Are the GT500 pipes 3" or 2.5" like the GT?

Almost positive it's 2.5" since the 5GT's are working on some GT500's on another board...

After some more searching, it looks like the 5GT's might just have more drone and the SVT's are 50 state legal and not much louder than stock.

airforceus, I asked because I thought the SGT version was the stock GT500 muffler. And yes, its quiet! It sucks. But even Chevy is conservative with its Z06 mufflers. Afterall, mostly old men are buying these higher priced cars.

Anyways, the 5gt is hands down louder than SGT. As for the SVT... if its really the KR mufflers then damn, I bet it sounds great.........

I think for performance gains, this is what the KR comes with over the GT500...

This would be an awesome package...
