Traded Up
Well i just traded my 06 V6 auto mustang in on a new 08 GT premium.Candy Apple Red manual 5 speed, and love it but its time to start modding already. What i was wondering is that I returned my factory tune back on the v6 and have the sct tuner can i still use that on the GT. I know I willhave to get it reprogrammed and was wondering who is a good programmer for the manual cars. I was always told Alternative was good for automatics. I will have to get a new intake and am seriously thinking about the whipple supercharger. Also what other mods are great for this car? I got the upgraded 3.55 gears instead of the 3.31 but thinking I should have just went out and 3.73 or 4.10 installed. Any help would be appreciated.

RE: Traded Up
I wouldnt go wasting money on an intake if you are going to buy a supercharger because some superchargers wont be able to use the intake and you will be out 300 bucks or whatever. I also dont know if you should put in 4.10s on with a supercharger b/c from what i've heard, you will probably spin A LOT, but that might be fun for a while. So i guess you should just go ahead and bolt a blower on.

Alternative Auto does a great job. But if all you're going to be tuning for is an intake you might want to consider one of the mail order tunes because they're so much cheaper. You can get a tune from Brenspeed for $75, and Bamachips for $50.

It is the xcal 2. How do I have the firmware changed? Do I have to send it in with my new computer code? If so which programmer should I go with? I live in michigan so was thinking Alternative Auto but wasnt sure how good he was with a manual car.
