RE: Summer Tires
Thanks for the tip on the Goodyear Supercar. Prices are under $200 for the 285/40/18. However, the reviews are not too good and I suspect they are clearance/discontinued. Not too crazy about the look:
If I don't go with the Toyo package, I'll buy the tires from local Town Fair store. They will match any internet price, mount, balance, align for free, and they carry the Goodyear F1-GS. Problem is, Goodyear doesn't have the 285/40/18. [&:]

They are the Tire that is OE on the GT500
I wanted to go with the F1 GS D3's again myself, (wore my old ones out already)
But as you mentioned, they do not come in 285/40. Boo to you Goodyear!
The damn GS D3's just cost so much
And I get them at cost.
The D3 is better in the rain, and quieter, but other than that they feel the same in performance.
GS D3 Invoice
Supercar bill, and larger rear tires.

RE: Summer Tires
Yup, that's the one.
Love this tire, but they don't have a 285/40/18.[&o]
The Nitto 555 have the right sizes, but Nitto is not a brand that Town Fair offers.
They do have BF Goodrich, but I don't like the tread pattern. I had no idea I was this high maintenance.
I think I may go with the Toyo T1R with the rim package. They have a decent ride and handling rating, and since I've put 12,500 miles on my car since 2005, these should last me 3 years. [&:]
