Default How do you gap spark plugs?

I have a gap measurement tool but I can't get the thing to go down to the position I want it to. Are you supposed to bend it?

Yes you actually have to bend the end of the plug.

How bad would it be if I just installed the spark plugs ungapped? I bought autolite platinum so the gap is pretty big right now like .75

You don't need a special tool. Just tap the end of it to close the gap.

.75 is way too big. You will have misfires and maybe detanation. Not good
