Default Nitrous Advice

I've got most of the main bolt ons done on the car. I'm running a C&L intake with a 88mm maf tube, muffler delete, 93 octane tune, CMCVs, and UDPs. I'm running 302 rwhp and 318 rwtq. I'm pretty happy with those results except power is a very addicting disease. I've tossed around the idea of F/I but I really don't have the money and this is my daily driver. I don't want to mess with it. I'm probably going to go with a nitrous set-up with all of the goodies. I've never messed with nitrous though so I'm pretty much a noobie to it. What kit is the best model specefic kit? ZEX? I also want to get a remote bottle opener, bottle warmer, purge, all of the goodies. Do I need anything else? Also where can I purchase all of this? I've also heard I need to run gauges, what gauges? A/F? Bottle Pressure? What else? I'm going to be running a 100 or 125 shot.

Thanks in advanced guys !

Hey man, I heard that the Zex kit is top notch. I too am thinking of going the sprayed route but the one thing that I'm nervous about is maybe one of the solenoids would stick and blowing the intake up. I've heard of this problem one to many times on these cars. If I do go this route, it would def. be a good idea to get a remote bottle opener, warmer, nitrous gauge and fuel gauge (important) and a custom tune for nitrous.. I dunno, still makes me a little nervous.

With a 100 or 125 shot you'll need to also change to a colder plug (HT0) and get a custom tune (dyno tune prefferably). You may also want to upgrade your fuel pump.

You need to look at running three gauges. A/F, Bottle Pressure, and fuel pressure.

For the switches and gauges check out SOS gauge pods. They also have some pretty slick switch plates.

I like the ZEX kit, I had it and enjoyed using while i saved for turbo. If you really want F/I in the future I would go the bare minimum:

ZEX kit
Purge
Warmer, bottle pressure gauge.

The solanoid has sensors in it to change the mixture if fuel pressure drops or N2O pressure is too high or low.

Purge, let's pressure off the solanoid and clears the air out of the line.

Warmer, keeping your bottle in the right spot.

The fogger system ZEX has is okay. You can get the plate from NX and get much better atomization and not have to drill your intake. You can save a lot of money by not going with the remote opener, window switch and gauges with the POD.

also look into nitrous express (NX)...i too was toying with the notion of nitrous and was interested in the zex kit...a few different installers told me that the NX kit was much better and even though a tad more expensive, very much worth the extra hundred or so...

i do not have experience with either, just passing on what a few techies told me

Bump, I need a place to purchase.
I purchased all my nitrous stuff on EBAY. Just search and get it from one of the store sellers.
