As for high lighting the tire size, I think you almost need to. If you dont all the white lettering would be on one side of the tire. The way it is now looks balanced almost OEM.

+ 1/2 If you want balance, leave off the "98W M-S" Then the 3 areas will be closer in length. JMO

You would think that GoodYear or Firestone would be smart enough to make some branded RWL tires for our cars... I'm thinking mustang guys would buy the crap out of them JUST for the look!

I like it a little but i dont think i would high light the tire size..maybe just the manufacture..

Well, I'd thought about doing just the Pirelli and the PZero Nero lettering, but it looked off balance. So, I threw in the tire sizing as well. I kinda went off of the old BFG's that are on my '74 Vette that have RWL, and they had the tire size in white.

SMH - One pen DID do the trick, but it can be frustrating when you do it because of the fine detail. Do it as 2 THIN coats (VERY thin on the first one; otherwise, you're likely to get runs that will get into the side grooves on the tires, or worse, get a blotchy effect to the lettering) and then, when it's dry, come back over it again with the pen again.

To do the lettering requires patience - if you don't have any, don't try to do this, because it'll drive you NUTS! (As it was, the gf came home while I was doing it and said, "Just how long have you been doing that?" "Well, let's see...It was 12 when I started, and what time is it now? 4? Ok...4 hours." "Uhm...Ok...Tires shouldn't have paint jobs that take 4 hours." And, I was only 2/3 of the way done.

Goodyear makes these:

They're only for 16 inch rims though...

Looks good on your car! I agree with just highlighting the Mftr. name

Looks ok. I just don't think it will look very good after a few washes. Can't see taking 6 hours every month for some paint on my tires! In real white walls or letters the white is white rubber in the side wall. If you scuff a white wall it is still white. Scuff that paint and it will be a streak of black.

Let us know in 3 weeks!

Shawn

Dude it looks great. I know because I did the same thing with my exact same tires last summer. Now the bad news. In 15 days all of your hard work will be DARK BROWN AND NASTY LOOKING. you will be disappointed and wash it off. Been there done that. There is nothing you can do to stop it from doing it.

I would love to see some company come out with tires that look like these with white letters on them do. There is money to be made.
