I was under the car about to do my oil change when I see this thin piece of metal hanging off the headers. WTF is this? It doesn't look like a ford part at all.

I drove ths car around the block and everything seems to be fine. Is it just something I picked up on the highway that attracted to the headers?

 

So you picked up some sort of metal rod or is it the end of the metal rod with the finer hair like ends? Either way I cant see any part of what you found as part of the stang........

 

Looks like a broken thing you use to pick up bolts and nuts that have fallen down into an engine that you cant reach to me. I forget the "technical" term. If the end is magnetic, I'd bet thats what it is.

It's some sort of metal rod. It's purpose, or if it even is from the car...I don't know...

 

Not a genuine FoMoCo part. Looks like an antena staff.

 

I didn't know headers came with an option for FM radio

 

Is there a magnet on the end? If there is it looks like whats left of a magnetic pickup tool. If your working on your car and you drop a nut or bolt you can use it to pick it up without climbing under the car or out of the crevice its wedged in where your hands can't quite fit. If you work on your own stuff I know you had that happen.

 

Does that thing give you any HP?

 

That'll be the harmonic balancer from the widget overlapper.
