I did it myself with some Anthracite base coat from a Jag paint chip.
It doesn't show in the sig or any other pics for that matter, but it has a lot of metallic andI love the look of iton a sunny day.
I would never have gone with plain shiny black, I wanted something different...
Metallic anthracite? Sweet!

I have cervinis' b9 hood scoop. I believe the description says 2.25 inches tall, but actually seems a little taller. Also, if you place the scoop on the top edge of the hood opposed to below the windshield squirters, the opening seems a tad bit smaller. But push that baby forward and it seems like the opening is 3-4 inches tall.

I was confused with all the different 'Boss' hoods as well. I just went with the one that wasn't TOO tall (cervini). I saw a b9 (mine) that says 2.25 opening and another b-9 thats says 4 inches for the opening.

I'm goingto install the scoop thissaturday (waiting for paint to dry and rain to stop).
And no, I don't think the scoop is ugly at all. We all have our own taste. The roush and the shaker look a little too small for our hoods, imo.

Make sure to get a picture of your car when you put on the scoop and share it with us.

I got a reply from MRT about whether or not their Interceptor scoop is the same as CDC's B9 and here's what they said...

MRT designed it and CDC makes it. It was a joint effort, just like many of the 05+ Mustang styling products. Like the Chin spoilers, gauge pod, ducktail spoiler etc...

Kara,

You can see some pics of the MRT aka CDC B9 hood scoop on the MRT Interceptor Mustang. Those blue things in the opening looks like it serves a purpose. I think it would look better without those blue things. The scoop they sell now is non functional and won't havethem I believe. They do plan to make a functional ram air system for this scoop. I think the scoop looks pretty bad azz myself. Very aggressive looking. I might get the Cervini's one though since it's cheaper and a little less tall.

I love the scoop with the hood kit, but not alone.

That looks cool!

What do y'all think of this hood?-->http://www.afterthoughtsauto.com/mus...t351-hood.html

It looks like the Cervini's M1 vintage hood and scoop but at half the cost. It doesn't have the hood extensions like the Cervini's though.
