Default Bra's - Front End Covers

I do a lot of highway driving and am considering buying a bra for my 2005 V6. Has anyone on the forum bought a bra from Ford or any other place yet? I've been trying to find pictures of what they look like before I buy but no luck yet. I have foglamps in my grill, dealer added, and wonder how it will all work and fit.

i also bought on for long trips i will be installing it today goiong to san jose tomarrow it clips under the grill so if you did the gt grill in the v6 you prob wont be able to because it would be to tight. although they do make a half bra that may work

Thanks. I'm assuming you bought the one from the Ford website or through a Ford dealer. I've heard about the difference between the grills on the V6 and the GT so even with my foglamps I'll go the V6 route. I'm in my Mustang abour four hours a day (cars are meant to be driven!) and I need that protection on the front end.

Just watch the dirt build up on the edges of the darn things.....speaking from experience...( I have one for the '86 Capri 5.0)

The edges will grind the dirt right in to the paint/clear coat. I would not leave it on all the time.....eventually you will have two different color tones, one under the cover and the exposed area due to exposure to the sun, etc. I have thought about the "clear" masks one can install.
Later and good luck,

Have you considered one of the clear bras? Kind of a transparent vinal that you apply to the front of the car.

Try getting a 3M clear bra installed. They are a little bit more expensive but it you cannot see it and it is vineled on so no water gets underneith it. You can also wash and wax over it. Since no water will get under it like when you keep putting it on and taking it off it will protect your paint better.
