Default Roush Shift Ball

Does the Roush shift ball, come with the little metal collar to connects the bottoom of the ball to the shift boot?? so you do not see the stock metal shifter. Click the link for a picture.

I think so. Someone on here has it and made a post one time about how to get it together with the boot.

It has a black collar that the boot slides over. On one side it has a small tube that extends up to the ****. The problem is, nothing keeps that collar up. When I had it, I ended up turning the collar over and taping it to the stick. Then used a metal threaded spacer I made, to keep the **** in place. You'll see that in the customers pictures on AM's site in the link above. Ultimately, I bought a nice adapter from GrabberPony.com that had threads built in. I think I've got pictures of the progression.

How it's intended for install from Roush. This will work fine if you wrap electric tape around the shaft under the boot adapter, to keep it in place.

After adding the threaded spacer I made.

After the grabberpony.com adapter

Of course, shortly after all of this, I got my Hurst.

I tried a few ways to make it work how it came, but just save yourself the time and get the adapter from Grabberpony.com. Here is the link, select the 12mm x 1.25 and frosted finish if you want it to match the interior upgrade package (if you have it, that is).

Good luck!
