Hey Doode, picked up a set in North Van for $14.50 each. But are prices up here are sooo way out of line on everything!

What plugs should I go for if I am N/A and plan on staying N/a. just basic bolt ons, doing the install myself obviously. stock plugs have chance of breaking...brisks and champions have such mixed opinions im not even sure.

I called Mopac, Napa and Lordco.

Lordco was the most expensive, Napa didnt have it, Mopac was the cheapest but at $40+that wasn't cheap.

Just ordered from Rock Auto at $12.70 each plus $10 (total) shipping. Waaaay better than the $20 local asking price.

If you do leave one behind. I like the Lisle tool much better than the Ford one. The Ford one cuts into the electrode and you have to deal with the chips (sticking a rubber plug in the electrode to catch them).

The Lisle tool rolls it's own threads into the electrode. No chips! Better design in my mind.

Just got my plugs changed tonight on my 2005 GT with 25K miles. That was a gut-wrenching job, but none of them broke. Put the Champions back in that are supposedly one piece so I should be good for 100k miles now. The old plugs were VERY tight and made all kinds of noise coming out. I used PB Blaster to loosen them up and it seemed to work well, but still made creaking and groaning noises coming out.

I plan to do this soon, just hit 36k miles. My sis had a plug blown out of the head a couple of nights ago on her 01 5.4 liter F150 King Ranch while out of town. It's only got 33k miles on it and the shop that has it has already broken 5, her bill is already at $1000. Apparently it's not that uncommon for the 5.4 to do that. Whoever designed the 2 piece plugs at Ford needs to be fired.
