Default fog light mounting brackets

So I was thinking about maybe getting a billet grille, but I want to keep the stock location of the fog lights just moved behind the grille. I was thinking about trying to fabricate some kind of mounting brackets. Does anyone have any tips or maybe even a write up on this?

I find it kind of odd. I have been thinking about this exact same thing the last couple days. I haven't looked under the hood at the existing brackets yet. It really shouldn't be too complicated. I work in the sheetmetal trade, I own a welder, could probably make my own grille if I had time.

Has anyone here done this mod?

The OEM GT fogs mounting points are 3D in nature.
You would have better luck getting the PIAA
upgrade lights and fabricating a bracket.

Here is where a gt owner pulled it off, for the right look I say the fogs must be tinted or at least smoked. I wish he would share his invention!! I want mine to only be seen when someone is looking for it.
