I have an 2006 Tungsten Grey 4.0 Vert. I want to add a spoiler (Unlit) . What is the differnce between a 4.0, GT and a GT 500 Spoiler. Will all fit the Std Stang Rear trunk Lid.

 

They will all fit in the same holes. Any spoiler made by Ford will fit your Mustang. I had the stock V6 wing when I bought my car, and I switched it to the GT500 Shelby wing.

 

This is an after market spoiler comes with a drill template they don't have a std, but they do have a GT500 Prepainted in Tungsten Grey

So you don't have a spoiler now? If not, then yes, you'll need to drill holes in your trunk lid. I hate drilling holes in my baby, soI haven't done so yet.

 

I also had the spoiler delete option, drilling holes was as easy as pulling your own teeth.

It's a very easy job...

 

Oh, I don't mind drilling holes I am looking for the best price on spoiler pre-painted that will fit the trunk lid. I looked at the Std 4.0 and GT they look the same to me. The GT500 looks like it sits flat on the trunk vs the other 2 that stand off the trunk on 2 legs. I just wanted to make sure that all three would fit if I bought one and that the drill templates would be the same

 

You can find the GT500 Spoiler pre-painted on Ebay for $130. Myself and pretty much everyone else who has bought this spoiler purchased it there.
